Before you send your design
Great prints start
with good artwork.
Send the best original file you have. Here’s what to look for—and what to do if your artwork needs a little help.
Clean edges. Clear details.
An image can look fine on your phone but lose clarity when enlarged for a shirt. Look closely at the lettering and fine lines—not just the overall design.
Original artwork
Clean lines and readable details. Send the original file from your designer when you have it.
Small image or screenshot
Even slightly fuzzy edges or lost fine detail may need cleanup. Enlarging the file or changing its name won’t restore that detail.
Illustrative quality comparison—not a pass/fail test. Artwork can need cleanup even if it looks sharper than this example.
Quick check: View your design at roughly the size you want it printed. If it looks blurry or jagged, look for a better original before uploading.
Send the right file.
The file’s quality matters as much as its extension. Putting a screenshot into a PDF does not make it print-ready.
Our first choice.
An original Adobe Illustrator file gives us the best starting point.
- Send the original export, if available.
- PNG
- Use a transparent background.
- PSD
- Send the original Photoshop file.
- JPG
- Accepted when clear and not pixelated.
Check the background.
For a PNG, transparency lets us see the design without a solid rectangle behind it. The checkerboard below represents transparency—it is not part of the artwork.
Transparent background
Only the design is included.
Solid background
If the box isn’t part of your design, it may need to be removed.
Want a white box as part of the design? That’s fine—tell us what should appear on the garment.
Only have a screenshot?
We can help.
Upload what you have and tell us you need artwork help. Cleanup, recreation, and design work are billed separately. We’ll provide an estimate for your approval before starting.
Ready to send it?
- Attach your best original artwork file.
- Include the garment brand, style, and color.
- Tell us where the design goes and the size you want, if known.
- Include quantity, size breakdown, and needed-by date.
Your digital proof is the final check for artwork, spelling, and placement before production. Fine details may need adjustment for the garment and decoration method.
